OK. The deal is that Kies doesn’t work with Samsung apps. Even if signed into samsungapps.com no apps can be downloaded because none there are compatible with Monte or GT-S5620. I got the button on the menu to work but the few apps available are ones that are very boring or for kids under 12 years. All the ones you’d WANT to download are not compatible with this phone. Feeling really RIPPED OFF by Samsung.

I contacted the Samsung service centre and was advised that apps can no longer be downloaded using Kies or the Samsung Apps icon on the phone. I was advised that the apps can now be downloaded from my service provider. I could not locate where this was with my service provider and have lodged a support ticket requesting assistance with this.

I will repost when I find out if this is possible. If it is not that means their device does not function in a purpose it was meant to in one area. Goods are meant to provide the function they promote and putting such an icon on a device would be promoting this function.

Samsung Monte/GT-S5620 does not support Samsung Apps. Samsung put a Samsung Apps icon on its menu but it does not work. It isn’t even supported via its PC application Kies.

Very poor show Samsung. I think that is false advertising. Having Samsung Apps is one of the main reasons I purchased this phone.

I had a very bad experience with N82, bye,bye to NOKIA forever, as long nokia care is running with an outsourced agencies … its never going get back its face…I have switched over to galaxy series of samsung..
