The Nokia X5 joins the Nokia X3 and Nokia X6 as the latest media smartphone for those who love music and messaging on the move. While the Nokia X3 is a S40 device and the Nokia X6 a Symbian S60 5th Edition smartphone with touchscreen, the Nokia X5 sits neatly in the middle being a Symbian S60 3rd Edition smartphone with QWERTY keyboard.

With a full four-row QWERTY on-board, the Nokia x5 is all about the messaging, so you’ll find easy access to services such as Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and Hi5 already on the device. Then there is access to all your email, inclduing Ovi Mail.

The Nokia X5 camera has a 5-Megapixel CCD and comes with 4X digital zoom and an LED flash. Then there is 200MB of storage and a microSD slot good for up to 32GB of storage. What’s more, it’s even set to launch in an array of funky colours, including Blue, Pink, Purple and Yellow, with a more modest Black edition set for later launch.

Nokia is making the most of the accelerometer in the Nokia X5 as shaking the device reveals how many unread messages you have, while music freaks can spin the phone to make the random track feature hit into life – perfect for a bit of flash-mobbing. We’re also expecting the Nokia X5 will launched with Comes With Music, the Nokia all-you-can-download music service, in territories where the service has already been rolled out. Even if you’re not a CWM user, you’ll still be able to get your hands on music downloads courtesy of Ovi Music being pre-installed.

The Nokia X5 has only bee set for launch in Indonesia at this point, even then it won’t ship till Q3 and comes with a price tag of 165 Euros.
